Interesting how some people you post on turn out to be familiar to me! I had read about Nagaratnamma in a book by kannada writer D.V. Gundappa, who knew her.

I first read about her in "Women's wrtiting in India: From 600 BC.." and followed up off and on. Mohana Rao's mother tongue is kannada but he grew up in Andhra and Chennai and writes often about Telugu. Parachuri Sreenivas is very erudite about many matters. I am currently busy due to collaborator's visit (Working again after nearly two years, but the collaborator came all the way from Michigan. So I had to start working again. Mathematics is still fun but other interests seem more compelling) and just posted since I thought there would be useful links there.
